When in school, I developed a deep respect for modernist graphic design. Modernism, with its emphasis on simple, clear typography produced many phenomenal type design’s we still use daily. As I dug into the tradition however, I realized there is lesser known type designs from the era that had features much more diverse than Univers, or Helvetica. Taking a catalog of these features, I designed a typeface to showcase the differences.
